A Tesla owner, who is also a startup/VC correspondent of Business Insider, shared a video of his experience with the Tesla Supercharger network.
On the footage, which quickly went viral, Ben Bergman was seen waiting in line to charge his Tesla EV.
"The very rare time as a Tesla owner I wish I could pay $6/gallon for gas and be on my way. We need more superchargers @elonmusk," said Bergman via his official Twitter post.
Right now, the footage has already generated more than 60,000 likes, 2,000 quote tweets, 6,000 retweets.
Tesla Supercharger Not Enough To Solve Fuel Hike?
In the video, Bergman is seen waiting in a long line for Tesla Supercharger. According to The Western Journal, this is a sign that Tesla and other EV companies are not enough to solve the ongoing fuel hike issue in the U.S. and other parts of the globe.
One of the major issues of electric vehicles is the lack of charging stations. There are thousands of Tesla Superchargers across the globe. More is needed as new EV consumers arrive.
Aside from the insufficient electric cell chargers, battery costs also make it quite hard to maintain an electric car. Not only that, but some environmentalist groups also complain about increased power generation and materials needed for EV batteries.
Elon Musk Already Working on the Issue
Since the post of Bergman is quite popular on Twitter, it also gained the attention of Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla. The billionaire said that he is already working on the Tesla Supercharger's issue.
But, he didn't clarify what the automaker is doing to provide enough EV charging stations. Elon's reply also gained the attention of many consumers.
Right now, Musk is still expanding his Tesla Supercharger network. The Tesla Supercharger map was recently updated to show the upcoming stations and other estimated completion dates.
