Nintendo Switch update 14.0.0 introduces a folder feature to the user interface or UI of the hybrid/handheld gaming console, allowing its users to organize their games.
Nintendo Switch Brings Folders
As per a news story by Polygon, Nintendo has finally brought one of the highly sought-after features that the Switch has yet to get until now-folders, which allows gamers to organize their games from the home screen.
The new highly-requested feature on Nintendo rolls out to the Switch console along with its latest system update, known as version 14.0.0.
Once Nintendo Switch users update that gaming console to the latest system patch, there is now an option for organizing the home screen, which the tech giant calls "Groups."
The new Groups feature allows owners of the Switch console to organize their games into folders. Nintendo lets users create up to 100 groups in total. On top of that, they could stuff in about 200 games inside each folder.
Nintendo of America showcased the new folder feature on the latest update of Switch, saying that it allows users to "create groups for software on the console."
The announcement comes with a screenshot of the new Switch feature, sporting various folders, which organizes games in varying categories and collections, such as Zelda Games, Pokemon Games, and Mario Games, as well as Online Games and Favorites.
The teaser of the feature gives its users an idea of how they can organize their games using folders.
According to a recent report by Kotaku, the new Groups feature gives its users an option to name each folder whatever they want it to be called.
The news outlet further noted that previously, the best thing that the Switch could do in terms of organizing games is to list down all of the recently played titles on the console.

As per the patch notes of the Switch update, the new version of the system not only comes with the folder feature, it also brings changes to the Bluetooth audio volume.
