"Prince Of Persia" might finally make a return alongside a sequel to 2020's "Immortals Fenyx Rising," according to this latest rumor.
Ubisoft is reportedly working on the two games while also prepping a "massive" showcase, where the two games could be revealed alongside other projects in the pipeline, writes Eurogamer. The information comes from reputable game industry leaker Tom Henderson, who has quite the stellar reputation when it comes to the accuracy of his information.
The "Immortals Fenyx Rising" sequel is said to be in the pre-production stage right now. As per Henderson, Ubisoft is hiring new talent to help make the game, which was decided on due to the 2020 game's unprecedented success.
Ubisoft's Quebec studio, the developers of the first game, are reportedly in charge once again, writes GamingBolt. The original "Fenyx Rising" was considered a mix-mash of "Assassin's Creed Odyssey" and "Breath of the Wild," but in a good way, as it was positively received by both critics and fans alike.
As for the new "Prince Of Persia" title, one of the biggest rumors is that it will be taking a lot of inspiration from the 2.5D platformer "Ori." As such, it will be a separate game from the "Sands Of Time" remake, which has been experiencing development pains after its first announcement back in 2020.
Ubisoft Montpellier is the studio helming the new "Prince of Persia" title, but aside from that, there are no other bits of information about it. There's no official release date just like how it is with the "Sands of Time" remake, but maybe it's only a matter of time before Ubi reveals its plans.
A 'Massive' Showcase
As previously mentioned, Henderson's sources told him that the established game developer has a big showcase planned where the new "Prince of Persia" and "Immortals Fenyx Rising" installments could be announced, alongside 14 other big releases.

Henderson published an article on XFire detailing which games could be part of this showcase, based on his sources.
Among these games include the still in-development pirate multiplayer game "Skull and Bones." Ever since it was first announced way back in 2017, the title has had a troubled development cycle. But as per Ubi CFO Frederick Duguet, he is "very happy" with how development has been progressing so far.
The showcase will also not be without one of Ubi's main money-makers: "Assassin's Creed" and the rumored game called "Rift," which was said to be originally a DLC for "Valhalla." Fans can also likely expect new details about "Assassin's Creed Infinity" during the showcase.
Here are the other games which are reportedly part of the big Ubi showcase:
"Ghost Recon Frontline"
"The Division: Heartland"
"Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora"
"XDefiant"
"Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time Remake"
"The Crew 3"
"Mario + Rabbids: Sparks Of Hope"
"Roller Champions"
"Beyond Good And Evil 2"
"Splinter Cell Remake"
"The Division Mobile"
