The PlayStation 5 DualSense is still the most popular controller for Sony's next-gen console. However, other gamers want a change of scene in gaming that's why they test other options that they could think of.
For instance, the Scuf Reflex Pro is another alternative controller that you can consider for your PS5 needs. This peripheral firm has released other variations of the devices to suit the customers' needs.
Is it worth buying right now?
Scuf Reflex Pro's Price is Unbelievable
According to a report by The Verge, Scuf's Reflex's price sits at a starting price of $199.99. This alone would tell you that it costs a lot of money and you can buy a digital PS5 edition right away here.
If you want to elevate your gaming experience, you can opt for the Pro model which is three times more expensive than the PS5 DualSense controller. At $299.99, Scuf's highly-valued peripheral is what some gamers find for a thrill.
Although it appears to be a gaming luxury, many players could find its Reflex FPS ($259.99) lacking in terms of adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. However, there's a chunky feature that they can take advantage of from it: its instant triggers.
In comparison to Sony's standard controller for PlayStation 5, the Reflex and Reflex Pro offer the same features with it. You can expect that it has a rechargeable battery, touchpad, and even advanced haptics to name a few.
There's more to that since Scuf made sure that the users can enjoy its functionality and its appearance. It also boasts a system integration taken exactly from Sony's book.

Scuf Reflex Pro: The Bad and the Good
In a similar report, The Verge dissected every good and bad stuff from Scuf's Reflex Pro controller. Take a look at its pros and cons.
For the good stuff, let's begin with its comfy grips and its outstanding colorways. The stellar design packs some punch for collectors. In addition, users can customize their control schemes in the controller thanks to its back paddles.
For its cons, the tech publication listed that it does not have any support for remapping rear triggers.
On top of that, some players find it annoying to guess its buttons since there are no labels. You need to be more familiar with PlayStation controllers before purchasing the Scuf Reflex Pro. The last one is its "not-so-user-friendly" cost for most players.
With regards to the absence of rear trigger remapping, here's what Scuf spokesperson Lexie Harkness said.
"The internal structure of the DualSense controller is very unique, and the adaptive triggers represent technical limitations for other components. Since the L2 and R2 triggers are in a relatively accessible location already, we decided to prioritize other functionalities which give the user more options for harder to access areas."
Is it Worth to Buy Despite its Absurd Price?
For some gamers who can afford to buy this controller, the Scuf Reflex Pro is still considered to be a good PS5 controller. Although it lags behind PS5 DualSense when it comes to customizability, Scuf could have improved this product later for more people.
It's also a good option for the company to keep it more budget-friendly for the gamers. After all, a reasonable pricing is what most players consider first when buying a PS5 peripheral.
