Tesla has fired its employee, who is also a YouTuber on the side, wherein he posts various tech reviews of the Full Self Driving feature of the EV maker of Elon Musk.
Tesla Fires YouTuber Employee
As per a news story by CNBC, a former Tesla Autopilot employee, John Bernal, who also runs his own YouTube channel that goes by the name AI Addict, has been fired.
However, Tesla reportedly did not issue any reason regarding his separation from the tech giant.
But the ex-Tesla worker claimed that the managers of the tech giant had initially said to him that his YouTube tech review channel was a conflict of interest. What's more, he was also told that he "broke" the policy of Tesla.
Bernal further claimed that the Tesla managers knew about his YouTube channel ever since he put it up, noting that his LinkedIn page even transparency included it.
On top of that, the EV maker also removed the access of its former employee from the FSD Beta system on his personal electric car, a Tesla Model 3.
CNBC noted in the same report that it comes even if Bernal's vehicle did not have any safety "strikes."
Tesla YouTuber Employee
The former employee of Tesla started his stint at the American automaker way back in August 2020, wherein he first started as a data annotation specialist.
Bernal went on to work on the autopilot features of Tesla as he became a test operator for the advanced driver assistance systems of the automaker.
Last Dec. 26, 2020, the former employee of the Elon Musk-led automaker got his Tesla Model 3 sedan that sports a long-range battery.
Bernal told CNBC that one of the reasons why he opted to get himself a Tesla EV is due to the advantage that the automaker provides its employees by giving them access to the FSD system without any cost.
So, the former Tesla employee took the bargain and ordered one himself a few months after he started working with the tech giant.
Then, a few months after his Model 3 sedan was delivered to him, he decided to start his own YouTube channel last Feb. 2021 to showcase the FSD Beta of the EV maker.
It is worth noting that Tesla has started to roll out its "Full Self-Driving Beta," also known as the FSD Beta, way back in October 2020, allowing some owners to test its early versions, according to a report by Electrek.
