Xbox Cloud Gaming iOS, iPadOS update fixes lags and other performance issues for both iPhone and iPad users, Microsoft announced.
Xbox Cloud Gaming iOS Update
As per a news story by 9to5Mac, the tech giant behind Xbox, Microsoft, said that the latest update of Xbox Cloud Gaming for both iOS and iPadOS brings tons of performance improvements, making the overall experience smoother than ever.
Xbox Cloud Gaming has been available in open beta for iPhone and iPad since June last year or in 2021.
Initially, Microsoft rolled out its limited beta for iPhone and iPad way back in April 2021, allowing its users to play more than 100 Xbox gaming titles.
Several months after its open beta release on Apple devices, Microsoft released a major update for its web-based gaming service that brings notable performance improvements.
Xbox Cloud Gaming: Improved Performance
9to5Mac noted in the same report that the web-based gaming service of Microsoft only runs as a web-based solution.
It comes even after Microsoft previously asked the iPhone maker to let an iOS native app for the Xbox Cloud Gaming.
However, Apple turned down the request of the tech giant, forcing them to settle with a web-based version of the app.
The news outlet said that web-based apps do not typically flaunt a high-performance experience. Despite that, the latest update of the Xbox Cloud Gaming vows to provide just that.
To do so, according to a recent report by Engadget, Microsoft had to optimize both the network data transmission and video output on iPhones, which, in turn, reduces input lags.
As such, iPhone users using the Xbox Cloud Gaming should expect a better experience while playing various games due to the more responsive and lag-free upgrades.
