In a recent Googlegeist employee survey, the tech giant observed that many workers are growing "increasingly happy" when it comes to meeting their career goals, as well as in important issues such as promotion and pay.
Aside from that, the workforce also raised some concerns regarding their employers' leadership skills.
Google Employee Survey Yields Poor Marks
According to a report by CNBC, the annual Googlegeist survey showed that there's an increasing number of employees who are growing unhappy with compensation, promotion, and other issues.
Based on the results of the survey, many workers thought that the pay packages that the search engine titan offers were not "competitive" or fair in comparison to similar roles from different firms.
The survey which took place two months ago, yielded the most desirable results when it comes to advertisements, cloud, and searches. Moreover, the highest score came from the values and mission of the company.
However, it should be noted that the lowest remark tackled the context of execution and compensation on the part of the labor force.
Addressing the survey results is considered to be "one of the most important ways" for evaluation, as CEO Sundar Pichai said during an announcement via email. This would help the company assess the willingness and desirability of the workers to work inside the firm.
Over the past years, there's been a huge turnover in the number of people who are resigning from their jobs to look for a new one. With that, Google is exploring some ways to retain their employees by considering their satisfaction rating as a significant factor in every existing company.
Soon, Google will be instructing its workers to return to the physical offices for at least three days a week. It will start on April 4. Last month, it dropped its previous mandate for the COVID-19 vaccine for employees.

What the Employees Said About Pay and Promotion
Speaking of promotions, a Google spokesperson stated that it's always important to receive feedback from an employee to guarantee that they pay "competitively." This will also make sure of several benefits and perks that they need to get.
For this year's Googlegeist survey, 46% of the employees answered that their compensation is competitive enough while 56% of them responded that their pay is "equitable" and fair.
Meanwhile, 64% of the respondents said that the pay and performance depend on one another. With regards to Google's mission, the company received a rating of 90% while on the part of the values, it netted 85%.
Aside from this, Business Insider wrote in another report that the employees are also critical of their leaders who want to terminate support staff from Cloud.
