The "Dead Space" remake of the famous game franchise from Electronic Arts and Motive Studios reveals its new release period, and as expected, it faces a delay for the game. EA's initial leaked release date for the franchise is 2022, but more of its details will arrive by another "Dead Space" live stream coming this May from its producers.
'Dead Space' Remake Sees Delay for Game's Release?
Game Beat reports that Motive Studios and Electronic Arts are "pushing" the release date of the "Dead Space" remake in the upcoming year and not for the remaining months of 2022. The reports said that the move is to avoid rushing the game for this year's release, and its focus now is to perfect and polish the game for the fans.
The company wants a remake that will give a new meaning to the game, and for that, it needs time and effort to bring the quality and look that it once featured, now matching the modern taste. EA and Motive confirmed the release date in early 2023 on their recent live stream via YouTube that focused on "The Sound of Fear Reimagined."
EA, Motive to Bring Livestream on May for 'Dead Space'
In their recent live stream showcase, the company detailed a lot for its fans and gamers about what to expect on the remake's release. The showcase also talked about a next live stream event for the "Dead Space" remake in May, and it will further discuss the game and its content, development, and progress for its fans and enthusiasts.
'Dead Space' and EA's Releases
Gamers that initially wanted to play "Dead Space" relied on a backwards compatibility feature from the Xbox One, and it only shows that the game is in dire need of a news release from its producers. The survival game last released its "Dead Space 3" last 2013, and it is almost a decade since EA's previous focus on the survival game franchise.
"Dead Space" is a franchise that is so old; it last released on the Xbox 360 and has not gotten any further releases after that, not even a remaster from its creators. It also did not get a version specific to the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One, the next-in-line console from the companies that the game is available to play.
Nevertheless, EA aims to bring back the franchise again, but sadly, it is not with "Dead Space 4" or a sequel to the famous horror survival story. The focus now is to rebuild or relaunch the franchise, bringing "Dead Space" back to pop culture, and it may be the way to restart the franchise to release the following games and not remakes.
