"Wordle" has slowly gained traction over the past weeks after The New York Times acquired it. For word geeks, bookworms, and all people interested in educational games, this guessing title is a recommended game to all of you.

For those who find "Wordle" easy, you might want to try "Scholardle," an improved version of this game that is harder and more challenging.

As its name suggests, it's made possible thanks to Writeful, a company known for its proofreading tool that is usually used in checking dissertations, theses, essays, and articles.

According to Techradar, "Scholardle" borrows the same mechanics from the original word-guessing game. To ace the game, you need to jot down your guessed word in five letters in just five tries or fewer than that.

Of course, you can use the color clues as guides when writing down your answer in the blank space. You should know that the reset period of a target word happens every 24 hours. That's the only time that your winning streak will be recorded in the ranking.

Since it's a more complex "Wordle," the twist here is rather simple: a batch of more technical words taken from academia.

"Scholardle" uses various jargon and words that are beyond the common understanding of the English language so it's pretty challenging to try. It will surely test your intelligence regarding your knowledge of academic words and the like.

Academic professors and students might have an upper hand in dominating this game, but you can practice daily reading of a dictionary and thesaurus to improve your vocabulary skills.

To play this game, go to the official Scholardle website through your web browser. For its settings, you can try different modes depending on your preference. There are also display modes such as dark mode and high contrast mode (for improved color vision).

In addition, you can explore Word Master, Hello Worldl, Absurdle, Lewdle, Lordle of the Rings, Crosswordle, Nerdle, Primel, Worldle, and more.

Earlier this year, Twitter decided to ban a kill-joy bot that is reportedly spoiling "Wordle" fans. The "Worldlinator" became a headache for players who wanted to climb to the leaderboard because it gave the next word for the day.

This bot simply functions as a tool that responds to the user's score tweet and tells the upcoming word to answer.

In dealing with bots, you need to be more careful in visiting other sites or apps. Aside from Twitter, there are some of them from Discord, Telegram, and Reddit.
