Apple customers should know that the company has launched five new models for the iPhone SE 2022. Of course, fans will be quick to make judgments out of them, but there's an important thing that you need to know about these smartphones.
For this year, it appears that users have different options other than the global and the US model. Those people who reside outside America could consider buying a smartphone in their respective country.
New iPhone SE 2022 Models
According to PCMag's report, the notion of importing a foreign iPhone SE model in the United States will not always work for the users.
The tech site wrote that these models might encounter a problem when it comes to connectivity especially if the user is reliant on T-Mobile and AT&T networks.
Regarding the connectivity, it was mentioned in the report that the next-gen iPhone SE versions feature sub-6GHz 5G and 4G. This covers the C-band, a radio frequency band from 4 to 8 GHz. It was designed by the IEEE or the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
However, there's a catch that you need to know about them. According to the source, none of them depend on the Dish Mobile bands, as well as the AT&T Andromeda band (3.45GHz), and even the millimeter-wave 5G.
In addition, we could expect that they have a less established radio performance given that they only have 2x2 MIMO. This is also one of the reasons why Apple fans prefer the highly-expensive and next-gen iPhone devices over their SE counterparts.
Five New iPhone SE 2022 Models
PCMag listed the five models for the new iPhone SE 2022. These are:
The Global Model (A2783)
The China Model (A2785)
The US/Canada/Mexico Model (A2595)
The Japan Model (A2782)
The Russia Model (A2784)
The third model is the most common among them all. All users who have this smartphone model will have access to global carriers and even those that come from the North American continent.
For the Japan model, we should note that the T-Mobile and AT&T bands are what it lacks. However, the 4G band remains usable in the country.
Meanwhile, both the Russia and China models have some changes when it comes to firmware. This is in line with the "legal requirements" that should be fulfilled in the said nations.
Apparently, for Russian buyers, you might not see an iPhone SE 2022 this year. The Cupertino giant decided to halt all of its selling operations in the country because of the Ukraine issue.
Aside from Russia, the "Russia" model can also be purchased in Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Armenia.

Choosing an Appropriate iPhone SE Model
While the purchasing of the iPhone SE saves more money, as Apple Insider wrote, there are a lot of things to consider before making this move.
First, you need to know that the new iPhone SE showcases a weaker performance in network connection compared to the iPhone 12 and 13 series phones.
However, it's important to know that the iPhone SE 2020 still fares better than the iPhone 11 when it comes to speed and coverage.
Always check the carriers that you will be using before buying this product so you won't face any issue in connectivity regardless of whether it's a 4G or 5G connection.
In other news, Apple finally seeded the watchOS 8.5 updates for developers along with several bug fixes and improvements.
