Pony.ai got a recall issue from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for its autonomous driving system that saw three crashes last year. The autonomous driving system that fixes itself on cars is a famous startup then, and it needs to improve its systems to continue bringing a new breed of self-driving features that it promises to the public.
Pony.ai: NHTSA Recall for its Autonomous Driving System
Californian startup Pony.ai agreed to the NHTSA's advice to recall its autonomous driving system after it resulted in three separate crashes in the past year. According to Reuters' report, the company fixed the vehicles during its October 2021 crash that is due to the use of its autonomous driving and continues the investigation regarding it.
Tech Crunch reported that the NHTSA's Deputy Administrator said that autonomous driving cars and their drivers should always be attentive on the road despite using the system to avoid accidents. The feature is not yet accepted in the country and is still facing several tests for its arrival for many.
The company's recall will aim to fix the system and bring a massive change to improve what it needs to work on for the autonomous driving feature.

Pony.ai Faces Three Crashes Last Year
There were three separate crashes for Pony.ai's systems in the past year, and it is something that concerns the safety of its users and other drivers on the road. NHTSA and Pony.ai will cooperate to fix the system and have it available for users to utilize, especially those that have it available on their vehicles for private or public use.
Autonomous Driving Systems
Autonomous Driving systems are the future's companion to transporting people from one place to another, giving them a chance to rest in between drives but not necessarily leave the wheel unattended. Of course, humans still need to be attentive when they let the car drive itself as it encounters other types of drivers outside and that no systems are perfect.
Self-driving technology is known throughout the world, with different companies focusing on bringing the experience to many. It includes Tesla's FSD, Google's Waymo, Amazon's Robotaxi acquisition, Panasonic's self-delivery robot, Apple's Apple Car, adaptive cruise control, and many more coming to the world of cars.
The growing fleet of autonomous driving systems may be alarming now as the technology is still starting up and adapting to the existing roads. Still, it will soon evolve into a massive feature. Pony.ai can still fix its problems now and bring a safe driving situation for many, but before that, it has to start by recalling its systems to tweak to a better experience.
