President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris' administration are all for going into clean energy. The White House confirmed that it is going into the electrification of school buses venture. It will replace the current old and outdated diesel school buses that are the currently used transport systems that students use now, having a clean energy solution.
Biden, Harris to Replace Diesel Service with Electric School Buses
A fact sheet from the White House detailed the administration's plans to combat the climate crisis that the world is experiencing now, and its goal is to give America what it needs in the transition. Electric School Buses are the focus now, but it also includes clean transit buses and trucks that will journey daily and roam around the country.
VP Harris revealed the country's budget that extends to billions for this specific project, focusing on the many needs that the government will receive in the coming years. The electric school buses will have their chance to transition to clean energy and have the US Public School system receive its new buses to replace the diesel services in the coming years.

$24 Million for Electric School Bus Project
The budget for the electric school buses alone will have $17 million for the Environmental Protection Agency that will focus on these new transports alone. Another $7 million from the American Rescue Plan will focus on the transition and new vehicles as well.
Moreover, another $10 million will be in funds to replace the old diesel buses with cleaner alternatives, but not necessarily electric vehicles from the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act.
America's Electrification
Private cars and properties are not the only focus of the electrification campaign by POTUS Biden, and it is now transitioning to clean energy solutions for public use. One of the main focuses of the Biden administration is to bring clean energy to the country available for general use, and it includes the federal fleet's change by 2035.
It includes the likes of the Presidential service and escort and the everyday transportation needs by the United States Postal Service that will use electric mail trucks. However, the latter rejected the POTUS' plea to get more electric trucks as it will focus on a mixed fleet consisting of new ICE-powered vehicles along with its clean energy counterpart.
The Climate Crisis is something that the world should focus on and help change the current environment directly. The goals of the administration line up with the rapid change that is happening now, transitioning to electric power that will fill the streets with clean energy transportation and means that it can use, even the US Public School system.
