Google Play System Update Includes Faster Wait Time for Downloading Apps and Better App Discovery

Google has announced that it will roll out a system update this March to improve its services. The company is hitting all sorts of aspects of its services, from mobile apps to developer-focused tools.

However, the actual list is still unclear.

Google's Update for March

Some of the changes when the Google Play update rolls out will provide further improvements to things users have seen before. This includes play-as-you-download games that help reduce wait times after choosing a new title from the Play Store, according to XDA-Developers.

Other points covered as very vague, like "new features" added for better app discovery. Still, there are a couple of concrete points worth highlighting.

Play Games Services profiles now have better privacy management tools, which is a great improvement.

Meanwhile, Google has made the user experience for NFC-enabled devices smoother, with better feature education for newcomers to mobile payments. It is expected to build well on last month's changes to Google Pay.

The update said to also include critical fixes. This will be applied to phone, tables, TV, auto, and Wear OS. The update will fix the connectivity for the respective devices, the developer services, safety and emergency, and utilities related services.

As for the games, the update will be rolled out on phones and TV's Play Games Services profile. Users will be able to better manage their privacy settings.

The Google Play Store's update will improve the play-as-you-download feature to let gamers start playing mobile games while the app download continues to reduce waiting times.

The new features that will be added after the update will help you discover the Apps & Games that you love. The optimizations will also allow faster and more reliable download and installation.

The new features to the Google Play Pass and Google Play Points Programs will be added after the update roll out. There will also be enhancements to Google Play Billing.

The update will improve Google Play Protect to keep your devices safe. There will also be several performance optimizations, bug fixes and improvements to security, stability, and accessibility.

The Google Wallet feature on your phone will get an update and it will improve user experience and feature education for NFC/HCE-enabled devices, according to 9to5Google.

The update will also improve System Management. The updates to System Management Services that improve the device connectivity, network usage, security, stability, and updatability.

The Developer Services will be included in the update as well. The new developer features for Google and third party app developers to support ads, accessibility, analytics & diagnostics and machine learning & AI, and security & privacy related developer services in their apps will all be updated as well.
