Elon Musk says that Starlink terminals in Ukraine are likely targeted since it is only the comms systems that are not provided by Russia.
SpaceX's CEO announced his warning a few days after he started sending Starlink terminals in Ukraine to help the country have more stable internet service.
"Starlink is the only non-Russian communications system still working in some parts of Ukraine, so the probability of being targeted is high. Please use with caution," said the billionaire via his official Twitter post.
Elon Musk Shares How To Protect Starlink Terminals
According to The Daily Wire's latest report, Musk shared some tips on how Ukrainians can protect their Starlink terminals.
These safety measures are important to keep SpaceX's internet communications systems from any damage, as well as to keep the WiFi service support provided by the independent space agency in Ukrainian.
He said that the best thing Ukrainians can do is to use their Starlink internet terminals when only needed to. Elon added that placing the far from people will also provide extra protection.
Aside from these, the billionaire also suggested using light camouflage so that the Starlink terminal antenna in Ukraine will not be visible to any detection systems.
Some Still Questions Musk's Suggestions
Although the suggestions provided by Musk seem to be quite efficient, there are some individuals who question the CEO's safety measures to protect Starlink.
One of the questioned protection methods is keeping the antenna away from people. Some Twitter users in the comment section of Elon's tweet asked the billionaire asked why the Starlink terminal antenna needs to be away from residents.
Musk did not provide any reply to this question. However, some Twitter consumers said that this method is important since it will protect people from ever an antenna is targeted by Russian fighter jets.
