Ford Mustang Mach-E electric SUV sales dropped massively last February 2022, which is nearly half its sales figures way back in 2021 in the same month in the United States.
Ford Sales in February
As per a news story by InsideEVs, the American automaker behind Mustang Mach-E, Ford, also reported a decrease in its vehicle sales last month in the US.
To be more precise, Ford reported that it only sold 123,350 cars in Feb, which has been down by at least 20.9 percent when compared to its performance from last year.
On top of that, Ford said that the sales of its electrified vehicles, including its BEVs, HEVs, and PHEVs have impressively increased by 13 percent when compared to its sales figures last year.
Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV Sales
The electric crossover SUV of the American automaker, the Ford Mustang Mach-E sold a total of 2,001 units last February in the US. It turns out that its sales performance last month is drastically down from its figures last year by a whopping 46.5%.
But still, the Ford Mustang Mach-E sales account for 1.6 percent of the total vehicles that the carmaker has sold in the country.
Meanwhile, the news outlet further noted that the stocks of the electric crossover in the region have gone down to 3,500, at least when compared to last December's numbers, which is at 4,700.
InsideEVs said in the same report that Ford paused production of its vehicles last month as it is facing an issue with the chip supply.
In fact, the Mustang Mach-E production in Mexico also dropped by 24% compared to last Feb. 2021, which is now only at 4,755.

Ford and Chip Shortage
It is worth noting that other carmakers also experienced a sales decrease in Feb, which includes Japanese firms, such as Subaru and Honda.
According to a recent story by The Detroit Bureau, the sales figures of Ford drastically went down by 21 percent due to two factors, including issues in the supply chain and its limited inventory.
On the other hand, Subaru of America also reported a 7.1 percent decrease from its sales in Feb, wherein it cited supply chain issues.
Meanwhile, Toyota North America lost up to 11.2 percent of sales from last month after the automaker cut its production due to a protest at the border of the US and Canada.
