Elon Musk Said 'I Definitely Wouldn't Bet the Farm on Crypto' While Hanging Out with French Montana and Rick Ross at Kanye West's DONDA 2 Event

Tesla's CEO has been known as one of the most unorthodox CEOs in the industry as he's seen hanging out with all sorts of different personalities and his early appreciation of cryptocurrency. In a video uploaded to Twitter, Elon Musk was spotted hanging out with French Montana and Rick Ross at Kanye West's DONDA 2 event.

Elon Musk Talks About Crypto Saying He 'Wouldn't Bet the Farm on Crypto'

In a video uploaded by Pomp on Twitter, Elon Musk was seen hanging out with musicians/rappers French Montana and Rick Ross while talking about crypto. As per the description, the Tesla CEO was hanging out with both celebrities at Kanye West's DONDA 2 event.

Despite shaky audio, another user ericnewman.eth shared a caption of what Elon Musk commenting that "coming out of Elon Musk mouth is not the exposure you are looking for." In the video, Elon Musk reportedly said "I definitely wouldn't bet the farm on crypto."

Elon Musk Said the Same Thing Before

This, however, isn't the first time that Elon Musk has said something similar. In a tweet dated back October 25 of last year, Elon Musk announced that he had bought hash strings called "Bitcoin, Ethereum & Doge" out of curiosity reminding his followers "don't bet the farm on crypto!"

Within the tweet, Elon Musk also gave a definition of "true value" saying that it is found in "building products & providing services to your fellow human beings, not money in any form."

Quite interestingly, while saying "don't bet the farm on crypto," Elon Musk was spotted wearing a "vintage cool crypto bitcoin blockchain retro t-shirt" with the word CRYPTO in red, yellow, orange, and blue.

As per the interpretation of his message, a certain commenter noted on the thread that Elon Musk "said DON'T bet the farm...Exit all markets" with another commenter saying "he said he wouldn't bet the farm because that's too small, but he bet a portion of his company. Extremely bullish."

How Much Crypto Does Elon Musk Own?

As per an article by Yahoo Finance, Elon Musk's Tesla currently holds 42,902 Bitcoins which is currently about $1.6 billion as per the current market price of BTC at $38k. In an article back in June 25, 2019, however, Elon Musk noted that he owns "zero cryptocurrency, apart from .25 BTC that a friend sent me many years ago" as per Investopedia.

This, however, changed in an October 25 article by CNBC last year when Elon Musk noted that he only owns Bitcoin, Ether, and Dogecoin. As to the amount, however, it was not revealed as to just how much of each cryptocurrency he owns.
