Twitter Allows users to Pin Conversations Atop the Screen for Direct Messages

Twitter allows users to pin up to six favorite conversations in the Direct Messages tab to keep atop the screen whenever accessing messages in the app. The feature will help keep the essential and famous people or groups access to messages or read. That means users no longer need to scroll or search the DMs to look for a constant chat mate.

Twitter Support recently announced that it is introducing a new feature for Direct Messages, which is the ability to pin up to six conversations above the screen for the app. However, the extensive feature will also be available in the desktop or browser version of the platform, and this means that pinned convos will only reflect on different setups.

The pinned conversations will not only stay atop the screen with icons of the person's account like the ones seen on iMessage and other pinned conversations. Twitter will showcase it on the DM list, with a quick preview of the last message sent to or from the people involved in the discussion, as shown on the list.

Twitter's New Feature: Focusing on Accessibility for Users

The feature is an accessibility function for users, giving them more control over how they use their apps or interact with people on social media platforms. Twitter Support also addresses the cases for those who do not find the feature in their inboxes via the social media platform.

Here, users can share case codes for the Support team to see and troubleshoot for the user.

Twitter's Latest Feature

The famous short word social media debuted its latest feature that helps people keep their favorite conversations above the screen, without the need for them to get lost in the convos available. The many features rolled out by the social media company focus on bringing accessibility features for users, including the DM feature via the tweet itself.

However, that is not the only hot feature via Twitter's platform now, as it adds a long-awaited element that manifested itself on other platforms like Reddit and YouTube.

The feature is the "Downvote" function that can give a negative review when a tweet is harmful or not preferred by the reader. It provides a connotation that it is dissatisfactory instead of having a "heart" or like reaction only.

Users have been massively consuming Twitter for many of its features. It brought a setup to the world for a fast-paced social media experience that became a source of entertainment and connecting online. The elements it brings only add to the many it already has, soon to complete Twitter as one of the top social media platforms to use.
