This means that the issue has been fixed, and consumers can use the digital distribution app once again.

"Connection should fully be restored now," said Discord via its official Twitter post. The announcement of Discord was able to generate more than 10,000 likes and 500 retweets.

Discord Down-But Now Fully Restored

Thanks to the efforts made by Discord, the outage did not last for more than one hour. According to The Verge's latest report, the giant messaging platform was able to fix the issue 30 minutes after confirming the massive outage.

Discord's official website confirmed that the system problem affected the platform's API (Application Programming Interface).

On the other hand, the company explained that the outage prevented users from logging into their accounts, streaming videos, and even sending messages.

To solve the latest massive API outage, Discord conducted an investigation on Feb. 15 at exactly 11:25 PST.

After that, the messaging platform proceeded to monitor the issue before completely resolving the server problem.

How Serious is Discord's February Outage?

Compared to other outages, which affected millions of consumers across the globe, the latest outage of Discord affected only thousands of people.

But, it is still quite massive since more than 44,000 users reported that they are having some issues with the Discord servers, preventing them from doing what they want.

Security experts said that there are many reasons why platform servers are suffering from sudden outages. These include a malicious cyberattack, hardware and software problems, server overload, and many more.

But, if Discord already announced that the issue is on their side, the best thing you can do is to wait for the company's official fix.

Although Discord's servers are now completely functional, some consumers may still experience log-in issues. If that happens, the messaging platform suggests restarting your client. After that, you can start logging in once again.

In other news, the Discord NTF trading feature, as well as cryptocurrency wallet, is now under development. Meanwhile, Discord creators can now monetize their subscriptions.
