Tesla FSD AI: Neural Network Features ‘Many Layers’ Says Elon Musk—Different with Statistical Learning?

The Tesla FSD AI came from its Neural Network that trains the technology to bring the autonomous driving feature for humans to use when driving the streets. The feature aims to bring a safe driving experience to take a person to their destination without intervention.

Elon Musk reveals that the Tesla FSD AI's Neural Network brings a lot of layers that are different from other methods.

The Tesla FSD AI has a Neural Network that teaches it what to do and trains the system to adapt to the real-world situation of driving, particularly in the current roadways. Elon Musk revealed that the Tesla FSD uses the Neural Network to learn different safe driving methods and confirmed that the feature has many layers in its process.

The public is well aware that Tesla uses a Neural Network to build its AI and autonomous driving feature to help the electric vehicle bring its supposed features.

The company focused its efforts on training its AI with a network of self-learning technology, focused on bringing technology advancements via different layers stacked into its system.

Tesla FSD AI Uses Neural Network, Not Statistical Learning

The company CEO replied to a tweet that discussed the difference between the Neural Network from Statistical Learning, a form of machine learning, and functional analysis. Here, it is said that Statistical Learning aims to simplify the system and make it one form of knowledge for AIs.

On the other hand, it differs from the Neural Network as it aims to stack the layers that bring learning as it is, focusing more on adding more every time.

Full Self Driving Feature: What is its Current Status?

There have been disputes for the FSD feature by Tesla, and it is because of its recent controversies that claimed the feature does not stop at intersections. The safety feature for intersection stops is there, says the CEO and founder, and the FSD recognizes stop signs and proceeds immediately when clear of crossing cars.

Other features of the FSD include having to work without the need for an internet connection, making the feature its purpose to be a self-driving feature. Of course, updates need to be installed with the proper connection to download the firmware fully, but there would be no need to connect the car at all times to use the feature.

The Tesla FSD is in development mode as it is still in the beta testing stage of its features to bring autonomous driving to electric vehicles. Musk and the Tesla team are working to achieve its full autonomy status, something that it aims to accomplish through its Neural Network and supercomputers.
