Twitch ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) videos are the weirdest content you will see on the popular streaming platform.
For some individuals, this type of content is quite entertaining since it allows them to relax. If you have already seen ASMR videos, you already know that it covers a lot of activities.
These include drinking water with chia seeds, eating food loudly, and other things that can create loud sounds. However, there are some ASMR videos that other people consider sexual, such as ear-licking.
Now, is TikTok actually doing something about this rising ASMR content?
Twitch ASMR Videos Become Rampant!
According to Inven Global's latest report, ASMR streamers' videos are getting banned on Twitch from time to time. However, there are a lot of scenarios where their content is resurfacing on the platform.
One of these instances is with Saveaprincess, a former Twitch streamer who is quite popular with her ear-licking ASMR content.
In late January, Twitch's clip that has more than 8.3 million views, was taken down. However, it reappeared on the platform and surfaced in various social media apps, such as Twitter.
Aside from this, she was also seen moving from Twitch to Facebook Gaming, allowing the OnlyFans model to engage with more viewers.
This just shows how Twitch fails when it comes to removing inappropriate content. While Saveaprincess was removed from the streaming platform, some influencers remain.
But is this type of content really allowed on Twitch?
Twitch Guidelines
Twitch's official Guidelines website explained that the streaming platform is against nudity and other sexual content.
"Nudity and sexually explicit content or activities, such as pornography, sexual acts or intercourse, and sexual services, are prohibited," said the giant online video site.
Twitch explained that sexual content is prohibited from videos and images. On the other hand, game streams with sexual violence, sex, pornography, and nudity are also not allowed on the platform.
In other news, Twitch 2021 viewership rose by 47%! On the other hand, Twitch banned more than 15 million bots back in 2021.
