The "Dawn Of Ragnarok" DLC for "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" just got a new trailer today, and it showcases a lot of new gameplay elements for Ubisoft's next big adventure in the Norse mythological realm.
Here is the trailer, originally posted by Ubisoft North America on YouTube:
WCCFTech reports that the DLC, which is billed as the biggest-ever of its kind in the history of the franchise, will not only let players play as the Norse god Odin but also let them wield (and keep his powers) for the entire adventure and within the main game.
Among the most notable features shared in the new "Dawn Of Ragnarok" trailer are the new abilities the players will get to experience. Ubisoft calls these mechanics "game-changing," designed to help players navigate the mythical realm of Svartalfheim and save Odin's son, Baldr, from being held hostage by the fire giant Surtr.
One of these new mechanics include Odin's ability to absorb enemy skills and use them to conquer foes. Players can also shapeshift into a raven and drop down on unsuspecting enemies for aerial assassinations, or use otherwordly magic to resurrect dead foes and make them fight as allies.
The game's open world features the dwarven realm of Svartalfheim, which is reportedly under an invasion by powerful forces. Ubisoft also revealed that players have the option to pick Odin's gender at any time-a feature that's absent from the main game.
Aside from the new gameplay elements, "AC Valhalla's Ragnarok DLC" will also add new characters, new and more powerful weapons and armor-all of which can be equipped in the main game, and roughly 35 hours of playtime, according to GiveMeSport.
"AC Valhalla's Ragnarok" DLC will be the third major expansion for the game after "Wrath Of The Druids" and "Siege Of Paris," both of which were released last year. The new DLC will come to all platforms on March 10th.

More Details About The 'Dawn Of Ragnarok' DLC
New weapons, armor, characters, and a new world to explore are not everything that the "Ragnarok" DLC will bring to the table.
Players will also get to fight new enemies in the Jotnar, the fabled Ice Giants of Norse myth, and the Muspels, which are their polar opposite (aka fire beings). To be able to deal with these new foes, Odin is gifted a bracer called the Hugr-Rip, which was crafted by Svartalfheim's dwarves. It is not clear what kind of powers the magical bracer gives, but it will all be revealed soon enough.
Furthermore, all of the new skills players get as Odin will affect all three main gameplay facets: combat, assassination/social stealth, and navigation. Developer Ubisoft hopes that these new abilities will help multiply player choice and give them far more avenue to tackle all gameplay challenges that come their way.
Lastly, the new "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" DLC also looks to delve deeper into the stories of the Isu-the franchise's long-lost race of technologically advanced humanoids-and how it is connected to Odin's and humankind's stories as a whole.
