iPhone Update iOS 15.3.1 Fixes Security Flaw

As per a news story by CNET, Apple rushed to release an emergency software update for both iPhone and iPad users to remove a security flaw, which could potentially be exploited by hackers.

CNET further suggested in the same report that the latest security flaw that Apple fixed could possibly be a severe issue. It comes as both the iOS 15.3.1 and iPadOS 15.3.1 only serve a single security vulnerability.

The latest move of the iPhone maker is far from its usual tradition of releasing updates that fix several exploits in a single update.

So, as CNET suggests, this specific security flaw could be a severe one, to begin with. Thus, the urgent release of an emergency update.

Apple further said in a support page for its software updates that the firm is "aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited."

That said, the Cupertino tech giant did not only confirm that there is a security flaw, the iPhone maker also raises the possibility that it could have been used by hackers already.

All that said, if you have not yet updated your iPhone, this is a compelling reason to do so.

How to Update to iOS 15.3.1

According to a report by Forbes, tons of iPhone models could run the latest update of iOS, including the aging iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, as well as the first-ever iPhone SE and its successors.
