‘Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival’ to Release on Nintendo Switch in 2022

'Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival' on Nintendo

As per a news story by Nintendo Enthusiast, another gaming title from the Taiko no Tatsujin" is coming to the Switch hybrid gaming console. Currently, there are a total of three games available in the Nintendo system.

Just recently, or last Jan. 27 to be precise, "Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master" debuted on the Xbox Game Pass, allowing subscribers of the service to play the game in either an Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, or even a PC.

But it turns out that Bandai Namco is releasing another installation of the game this year that goes by the name "Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival."

'Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival' Songs

The upcoming release of the game on Switch includes a huge library of music with up to 76 songs to choose from.

Not to mention that it also introduces an in-game subscription service, which gives its users an expanded song library spanning up to more than 500 songs on its launch.

Nintendo Enthusiast suggested in the same report that the number of songs in the paid service could increase over time.

It is interesting to point out that one of the songs in the massive library or 76 beats even includes the main theme music of an iconic Nintendo game, "The Legend of Zelda," according to a report by Nintendo Life. However, It would be the orchestral version of "Megalovania" by Undertale.

On top of that, the press release of the upcoming "Taiko no Tatsujin" game also flaunts other notable tunes, such as "Feel Special," "Gurenge," and "Racing into the Night."

'Rhythm Festival' Game Modes

Aside from the massive library of songs to expect from the "Rhythm Festival," the upcoming game also comes with multiplayer modes, allowing players to enjoy the rhythm game with their friends.

One of the game modes is the DON-chan Band mode, which basically allows four players to team up and form a band.

What's more, there is also a mode that is meant for those who want some heated competition. The Great Drum Toy War is the competitive mode of the game, which allows players to throw toys at their opponents to mess up their performance.

As of writing, Bandai Namco US, the developer and publisher of "Taiko No Tatsujin" only disclosed that the rhythm game is coming later this year. That said, the devs have yet to officially announce its specific release date this year.
