Reddit Talk is a new platform from the company that will focus on podcasts and live audio showcases to bring content creators a new way to express themselves online. The latest podcast platform from Reddit resembles Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces, carrying live and recorded audio sessions online for people to talk and interact.
Reddit Talk: Podcast Platform to Feature Live Audio and Recordings
Last year, Reddit Talk got introduced to the platform with Redditors having a platform to showcase themselves and bring different kinds of content online. But it has limits being on a testing phase and its initial release. Now, it is on a total blast and announces its full integration to the company's mobile platform and adds new features to it.
Reddit said that the new features allow more interactions from listeners to hosts with hand-raising buttons, comments, and joining the stream itself. Moreover, Reddit is also bringing emojis to work on the platform and a live bar for members.
The company is also bringing Reddit Talk content creators a chance to upload recorded versions, which people can seek and choose where to begin or stop, along with a pause and play option.

Reddit Talk: Content Creators Get New Platform for Showcase
The Reddit Talk will help those who are comfortable and accustomed to the platform to continue their stream there instead of having multiple accounts or media to use. The content creators have more chances to bring their influence or information to people via Reddit, and not just on the usual platforms found online.
Reddit Talk, Twitter Spaces, and Clubhouse
Perhaps, Reddit is the third company that is popular online to present a new platform for people to enjoy and express themselves by talking on the web with people they know or are unfamiliar. The 2020 pandemic bringing COVID-19 made audio-only platforms a massive case, and that only means people want social interaction despite the restrictions.
The pioneer to the audio-only chat room experience is Clubhouse. It initially presented an invite-only platform when it was in beta, making it an extremely limited app to join. It became somewhat of social status for having joined Clubhouse as it means that its moderators found users interesting or got a friend that invited them in.
After its popularity spiked in the country, other companies tried to go into the business as well, including Twitter with the Spaces feature. Reddit is the recent addition to those going into the audio and podcasts business online, signifying that the world is going into the multimedia consumption of different content, with more content to offer soon.
