Meta's Facebook platform is facing another issue. The problem is about the sold counterfeited items from various luxury brands.
These include Louis Vuitton, Channel, and Gucci. The issue arrived as the social media giant tried to have its own marketplace.
Right now, Facebook's platform offers various search sections. One of the latest features is the Marketplace. In this section, you can see various products.
They can either be sold by the official company or some resellers. However, you need to be careful since fake items are now becoming more rampant in Facebook's Marketplace.
Meta's Facebook Struggles Against Counterfeiting
According to Reuters' latest report, Facebook is having a hard time preventing the selling of counterfeited luxury products. Experts said that this social media platform is becoming one of the major hot spots for fake items.

"Facebook and Instagram are the key marketplaces where counterfeit goods get sold to members of the public. It used to be eBay 10 years ago, and Amazon five years ago," said Kroll investigation company's managing director, Benedict Hamilton.
The new research for Facebook, led by Ghost Data, identified more than 26,000 active fake selling accounts on the social media platform's Marketplace section from June to October 2021.
Meanwhile, Instagram is also having a problem of its own as over 56,000 active counterfeited products were identified back in 2019.
Other Issues of Facebook
Aside from preventing counterfeited products, the social media giant is also having some issues in Europe because of the country's strict data sharing policies, as reported by GSM Arena.
Meta said that if they are prevented from sharing user data to and from the United States to Europe, then they will have to pull out Facebook from that country.
As of the moment, the decision of Meta is not yet finalized as the company believes that they will have some better agreements before 2022 ends.
But, in the worst-case scenario where Facebook is prevented from sharing and tracking user data in Europe, then Europeans need to say goodbye to the social media giant.
In other news, Meta's $10 billion loss shows how the tech firm misuses its funds for Facebook growth. Meanwhile, Facebook users decreased dramatically, which is the first for Mark Zuckerberg's company.
