However, there will always be one that is better than the other. One of the factors you need to consider is the compatibility of the electric car charging station.

Of course, Electrify America has the upper hand on this one since it supports various EV models. Meanwhile, Tesla Superchargers can only power up Tesla models.

But, Elon Musk recently announced that the Supercharger Network would soon support other zero-emission car brands as well.

  • Tesla Supercharger (15 minutes of charging time offer 200 miles driving range. Supports 150kW up to 300kW)
  • Electrify America (15 minutes of charging time offer 112.5 miles driving range or one minute of charging time offer 7.5 miles range. Supports 150kW up to 350kW)

Price

  • Tesla Supercharger ($0.25 per kWh)
  • Electrify American ($0.43 per kWh)

Number of Individual Chargers

  • Tesla Supercharger (There are around 30,000 individual Supercharger charging stations right now)
  • Electrify America (There are more than 2,900 individual Electrify America charging units right now)

Based on the details mentioned above, Tesla Supercharger stations have the upper hand when it comes to charging time, the number of individual charging units, and price. However, these benefits are still limited to Tesla owners.

Electrify America as Top EV Charging Network?

Green Car Reports announced that Electrify America was able to top all EV charging networks across the globe. This data was released by Umlaut, an engineering service owned by Accenture.

Based on Umlaut's record, Electrify America received the highest overall score. Thanks to its well-designed app and website, illuminated stations, and Plug & Charge feature, the company achieved this.

In other news, the first electric Batmobile replica is now available for purchase. Meanwhile, Electrify America offers free charging time to purchase BMW electric cars.
