Google Search History Quick Delete

As per a news story by The Verge, Google has previously added a new option to its app on iOS and now on Android 12 devices.

The new privacy feature of Google allows its users to quickly delete their search history in the last 15 minutes without having to go through a long process.

However, it is worth noting that the new quick delete option on Google search history is only available on its mobile app.

As such, those who are using the search engine on a desktop will still have to manually delete their searches from Google settings.

On top of that, desktop users could also set their search history to auto-delete in three options, 36 months, 18 months, or three months, which is the shortest available option.

It is worth noting that the current default option is set at 18 months. So, expect your search history to be wiped off after that period--unless you opted to change it.

This time around, though, the new option on the Google mobile app gives its users a single tap option to clear their most recent searchers.

The new quick delete function is handy in moments, wherein some users may find their queries to be embarrassing or simply too private for other eyes.

That said, the new button on the mobile app of the search engine could be considered as an emergency feature that instantly does the job in those embarrassing times.

The new easy-to-use feature of the mobile app of Google is currently only available for iOS and Android 12 users.

According to a report by Android Central, it means that most Android devices have yet to get the said functionally, but the latest Pixel phones already have it. But don't fret as more smartphone devices are gearing up to get the latest Android software.
