#Getperezout: Internet Blogger Perez Hilton Branded 'Britain’s Most Hated Man' Due to Celebrity Big Brother Stint

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is being called Britain's most hated man after a series of controversial comments and bad behavior on Celebrity Big Brother in the U.K.

While Hilton usually is the one stirring up the Internet by blogging about other bad celebrity behavior on his website, this time he is the one embroiled in controversy after he was tapped to appear on the U.K. TV show Celebrity Big Brother.

The show, which features 14 celebrities living in a house together for a month and being filmed 24/7, appears on U.K. television twice a year, and this winter's series is one of the most controversial ever. Two celebrities have already been removed from the house. American Actor Jeremy Jackson was canned after inappropriately touching model Chloe Goodman, and veteran actor Ken Morley was removed only days later for racial and sexist language and comments.

But it's Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., who is actually raising the most ire among the British viewing public, so much so that a Twitter campaign to have him removed has been launched. Hilton irritated viewers and fellow housemates from the start with his narcissistic and attention-seeking antics. In recent days he has upped the ante and alienated most of his housemates along with, apparently, most of the British public.

Fans are outraged over Hilton's comparison of actor Morley to "cancer," and his false accusations that British actress Patsy Kensit made racist remarks about fellow housemate, '80s soul singer Alexander O'Neal, by simply stating that she would like for the American crooner to take her to the Crenshaw district of LA due to her love of U.S. hip-hop music. The accusation caused Kensit to cry until fellow housemates, including O'Neal, assured her she had done nothing wrong.

Most recently, Hilton caused a huge row when he suggested that two housemates, models Goodman, and Cami Li, engage in "fake lesbianism" to entertain the British public and keep themselves from getting evicted from the house in the regular public phone-in votes that occur. After numerous complaints from fans about Hilton, official U.K. media watchdog Ofcom is considering a formal probe into the show. The hashtag #getperezout has now been retweeted thousands of times asTwitter users are repeatedly calling him "Britain's most hated man" after Hilton referred to fellow housemate and blogger Katie Hopkins as "Britain's most hated woman."

With the show only 10 days into its month-long stint, and Goodman the first to be voted out in Friday's live eviction, there is sure to be more drama to come from Hilton, who was seemingly oblivious to the feelings of the U.K. viewers as he stated that the "British public is loving me right now." Hilton seems determined to continue his behavior, which fellow American housemate Michele Visage, a judge on RuPaul's Drag Race and one of the favorites to win the show, branded as more "obnoxious" and attention-seeking than "20 drag queens."
