Bitcoin (BTC)

Bitcoin remains the top coin globally for both 2021 and the start of 2022. It only shows how much potential and influence it has from its name alone, having a lot of belief in the altcoin for its performance and prevailing in the market.

The popular crypto had ups and downs in the market, significantly when it dipped to almost $29,000, widely considered by experts as the critical line for its valuation.

However, the coin rose back and showed its might to a massive $60,000 all-time high.

Now, CoinMarketCap reports that Bitcoin ended 2021 with $47,000 of valuation.

Solana (SOL)

Solana is one of the most surprising coins in the market now, significantly as it outdid itself in 2021 for its popularity and performance among blockchain fans.

SOL is currently at CoinMarketCap's top five spots on its charts, and this only means that Solana is on the right track of achieving a massive valuation and popularity.

The value of a single coin now is almost $180, and while it is awfully low, it still brings the popularity of the name it has.

Axie Infinity (AXS)

Axie Infinity is not precisely a cryptocurrency for people to purchase and trade. However, the coin is an NFT game where it brings people inside a world of its own, training creatures to fight and prevail.

The game is regarded as the "metaverse" for Pokemon, without the popular Nintendo game elements on the experience.

Axie remains the top NFT game for the public and it only shows the popularity among them all.

Terra (LUNA)

Terra, better yet known as LUNA, is one of the many buzzer-beater and top players the world of cryptocurrency has seen, together with Solana and other names. Not many people saw this emergence of Terra, but it is nowhere, and it shows a massive performance on its stats in CoinMarketCap.

The coin currently sits at $89 as its selling price, with a minimal 24-hour dip on the coin's numbers.

Shiba Inu (SHB)

Shiba Inu now dipped back to the outskirts of the top 10 along with Dogecoin, but it still saw a massive peak on its 2021 performance, regarded as one of the turnouts of the year. The thirteenth spot in CoinMarketCap only shows that not all that surged in the past year means they get to keep their status.

It is important to note that the cryptocurrency market still faces a lot of tough turnouts and similar events to the downfall of different coins.
