Julian David, the CEO of the tech trade association, TechUK, started to take the highest post in the organization back in November 2013.

Back then, David was appointed as the Director-General of the tech trade association that previously carried the name Intellect.
After more than a year as the director-general of Intellect, he went on to transform it into what is now known as Tech UK.

Before he took the top post at Tech UK, David spent more than three decades or 30 years in the industry of technology, as per the report by Tech Target.
For most of his stint in the tech world, he has worked with IBM, wherein he took multiple posts in the tech giant.
Not to mention that he has offered his leadership and skills to different locations of IBM offices across the globe.
According to the Linkedin account of the TechUK CEO, the ex-IBM exec used to take the Vice President for Public Sector role for its offices in the United Kingdom, as well as in South Africa.
David was then leading the sale of the products of the tech behemoth to organizations like health care, education, government, and even law enforcement.
Before he took the VP for Public Sector position on IBM UK and Africa from July 2004 to June 2009, David was the Vice President for Small and Medium Business in the office of the tech giant in London.
His stint in the London office lasted for a total of eight years, which was from 2001 up until 2009, wherein David looked into the sales of IBM products to both small and medium enterprises.

Now, David has been with Tech UK for almost ten years in total, wherein he started to be its director-general.
As per the website of the University of Cambridge, the CEO of Tech UK is now leading a team of 60 individuals, which provides both support and services to a whopping 850 member companies of the tech association.
Not to mention that Tech UK also includes over 500 SMEs, along with massive firms, which flaunts a foothold around the world.
TechUK: What is it
The tech trade association was first established back in 2003 as part of the merger of both the Computing Services and Software Association and the Federation of Electronics Industries.
According to the report by Computer Weekly, TechUK CEO, David, said that the tech association is "a new platform to address the big future challenges for the country."
He expounded that it includes the development of a more efficient source of energy, as well as the transformation of both the social care and health network in the UK.
