Like most game show announcers, The Price is Right's George Gray is usually heard and not seen. After a rare appearance on Thursday's episode of the game show, he's probably wishing he kept things that way.
During a typical segment introducing some products, The Price is Right decided to switch things up a bit. Instead of having one of the show's models go for a jog on a treadmill while Gray describes the item for viewers, the show had the announcer go for a run while still doing his normal job. And he was running backwards. Big mistake. Huge.
Of course, Gray didn't stay on his feet for long. While reaching for a paper from which to read his lines, Gray fell flat on his Plinko. I bet the company that makes the treadmills did not appreciate that kind of endorsement.
But what happens next is even better. You can see host Drew Carey run off camera laughing hysterically. Way to help a bro when he's down and out, Carey. The camera then cuts to a model who is completely embarrassed for Gray, then to another model that shows off an oven with a "show must go on" attitude.
While all of this is happening, Gray is sitting on the floor reading his script. The amazing part is he doesn't miss a beat. Now that's a true professional. This might be the most inspiring thing I've seen all week. Or all year.
