The winter break is officially over, and you know what that means: we'll finally see new episodes of some of our favorite shows. That includes The Flash, which left us with a bit of a mystery at the end of the mid-winter finale: who is that man in the yellow suit?
Of course, we now know that this man is Reverse Flash and that his alter ego is Harrison Wells, none other than Barry Allen's mentor. Actor Tom Cavanaugh, who portrays Wells on the series, recently confirmed that he was the guy in the suit (although we'd mostly guessed it was him anyway).
However, The Flash has much more than Reverse Flash to worry about, at least according to this new extended trailer for the series, recently released by The CW. In fact, there is a whole gallery of new super villains waiting to take over Central City, including Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Andy Mientus) and Pied Piper (Britne Oldford).
Yes, Barry has his work cut out for him, and that's even after he professed his feelings to Iris and was, more or less, shot down. However, we know this romance must happen (meaning, it's part of the comic book universe), so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Barry and Iris share a kiss in a future episode.
We also know that Star Wars alum Mark Hamill is signed on for The Flash as The Trickster, having originated the role on TV in the original 1990s Flash series.
"In this new iteration, The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original's deadly footsteps," says The CW. "The episode will reunite him with John Wesley Shipp who went up against him as the original 'Flash' on the CBS version."
Devon Graye, known mostly as young Dexter Morgan on Dexter will step into the role of The Trickster's copycat, basically The Trickster 2.0.
