Instagram has a lot of reasons to be popular today. But there's also enough reason for it to be deleted from your device if you want to.
If you have your own reason to delete it, then you've come to the right place. In this guide, you'll learn how to delete Instagram from your devices permanently or temporarily, as well as a few other things.
How To Delete Instagram Temporarily
First off, if you want to take a quick time off from the platform, deactivating your profile temporarily is one choice.
As per the Instagram Help Center, temporarily deleting your profile is possible by following these steps:
Login to your profile on desktop or mobile browser
Click on your profile picture, then go to Profile > Edit Profile
Scroll down until you find Temporarily Disable My Account, then click it
Pick an option from Why Are You Disabling Your Account, then re-enter your account password
Find Temporarily Disable Account then click it
And that's it, you're done. But before you do follow these steps, remember that you can only disable your account from desktop or a mobile browser, and not via your mobile phone app.
How To Delete Instagram Profile Permanently
Next up, permanently deleting your Instagram profile is more or less similar. According to Forbes, here are the steps you have to follow:
Login to your Instagram profile (again, only use a desktop or mobile browser, and not the app)
Find and go to the Account Deletion page
Click on the drop-down menu located at the top of the screen, and enter the reason for deleting your account
Re-enter your password, then click the blue Delete [Account Name] button

How To Save Instagram Photos
If you've been a long-time Instagram user thinking of permanently deleting your profile, you might have cold feet because of just how many photos you've got on there. Fortunately, there are multiple ways to download Instagram photos and save them before closing down your IG for good.
While there's no actual program that will let you download everything at once (even your videos), there is an "official" way of doing so: requesting a download link for everything directly from Instagram themselves, writes CreativeBloq.
Here's how to do it:
Go to Instagram.com using a desktop or mobile browser and login to your account
Go to Edit Profile by clicking the gear icon
Choose the option Privacy And Security
Scroll down until you see Data Download, then click Request Download
Re-enter your login credentials (email, password), then click Next
Wait for an email link sent to the address you use to login
Once you get the download link via email, click on it to be redirected to a download page
Download everything to your PC or Mac when prompted
You can also do this via the Instagram app, if you like. All you have to do is login, tap the menu icon on the top right, then go to Settings > Security > Download Data. Re-enter your email and password, then click Request Download.
