Crypto-Pills NFTs Offered by Artist Who Created Pillman Character Used in Eminem Tour

NFTs come in all colors, shapes, and characters these days. There are cat NFTs, whale NFTs, sushi NFTs, and even rock NFTs. It seems like anything can be an NFT these days and that has never been more true than with Crypto-Pills.

As its name suggests, it can be said that the Crypto-Pills NFTs are characters inspired by pills. There is, however, more to these NFTs and their history than just that.

Believe it or not, that history is even tied with rapper Eminem.

Crypto-Pills is a collection of 10,000 unique characters that are inspired by a character created by its artist, Micha Klein, known as the Pillman.

If you happen to be a fan of rapper Eminem, the word Pillman might ring a bell. That is because Eminem brought the Pillman character on his Anger Management Tour 21 years ago.

According to the Crypto-Pills website, the 10,000 Pillman-inspired characters are "algorithmically generated from 37 categories and 504 traits, allowing some to be rarer than others."

These Pillman-inspired characters are multi-color as well as multi-gender. They come in 3,000px resolution.

These NFTs are stored as ERC-721 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. If you are interested in buying one, each Crypto-Pills NFT costs 0.07 ETH.

The Crypto-Pills NFTs are available on OpenSea.

What are NFTs

You have probably encountered the term NFT more times than you care to count these days, but it does not hurt to still define it, especially for those reading about it for the first time.

An NFT is otherwise known as a non-fungible token. NFTs are anything digital and have a unique value. What makes them non-fungible is that they cannot be traded or exchanged with something of equal value.

NFTs and cryptocurrency seem to go hand-in-hand these days and they do have a few similarities. One of which is that they both store digital records on a blockchain. Another similarity is that they have unstable volatility.

Examples of Digital Art NFTs

As previously mentioned, NFTs can be anything digital. They can come in the form of GIFs, collectibles, and even music. The most common kind of NFTs, however, are digital art NFTs. Crypto-Pills NFTs are an example of such digital art NFTs.

Digital artists have turned nearly anything into NFTs these days. One NFT collection that recently made headlines is known as the Weird Whales. Weird Whales was created by a 12-year-old named Benyamin Ahmed, who took inspiration for an 8-bit stock photo of a blue whale.

According to a previous Tech Times report, the young boy from the U.K. made over $160,000 with his Weird Whales NFT collection.

When we say that almost anything can be turned into digital art NFTs, we mean anything, including digital rocks. Rock NFTs called EtherRock have been selling for six-digit prices. One EtherRock even sold for more than $1 million, believe it or not.
