'Monsta Infinite': A Cheaper Play-to-Earn Alternative to 'Axie Infinity'

It has recently been announced that NFT gamers have a new game to look forward to this year. If you are a fan of collecting adorable creatures in NFT games, this game is probably one you should totally check out.

"Monsta Infinite," a play-to-earn NFT game, is coming to the Binance Smart Chain later this year, according to the game's developers.

"Monsta Infinite" takes inspiration from another NFT game, "Axie Infinity," and developers have said that is actually a cheaper alternative to the popular NFT game.

"Monsta Infinite" is an example of a play-to-earn NFT game and is inspired by "Axie Infinity," according to an article by Play to Earn. The game is still incomplete, but a test version of "Monsta Infinite" is scheduled for release later this year.

Per the report by Play to Earn, the play-to-earn game will be available on the Binance Smart Chain and the developers of the game see it as a cheaper alternative to the hit NFT game "Axie Infinity."

The upcoming NFT game "combines a turn-based card battle system with match-3 puzzles" that players can enjoy in one competitive game.

"Monsta Infinite" will feature little creatures called Monstas who existed before dinosaurs did and live in a place called Shani. When they're threatened by an enemy called Jilaka, these Monstas summon what is known as the Inception Monsta to save them from the enemy.

What players basically have to do when playing "Monsta Infinite" is to collect cute creatures as well as tokens known as MONI.

'Monsta Infinite' Token

The "Monsta Infinite" token or MONI will be used by the NFT Game. Per the article by Play to Earn, MONI is a governance token on the Binance Smart Chain with a total supply of 270 million.

According to the article, "MONI holders can claim rewards by staking their tokens, by playing the game or participating in key governance votes."

Players can also earn MONI by playing the different games that will be part of the "Monsta Infinite" Universe.

MONI pre-sale will take place on September 8, 2021. Pre-sale price for a MONI token is at $0.15.

Other Play-to-Earn NFT Games

Play-to-earn NFT games have been increasing both in number and popularity of late. They appeal to players who want to earn right away as they play games.

Another example of a play-to-earn NFT game aside from "Monsta Infinite" is "My DeFi Pet." The two games are similar in a sense that they both take inspiration from "Axie Infinity."
