Sonja 'OMGitsfirefoxx' Reid: What Does the Most Followed Female Twitch Streamer Use for Streaming?

Sonja Reid, better known as OMGitsfirefoxx on Twitch, is one of the world's most popular gamers and streamers. In fact, she is the most followed female streamer on Twitch back in 2017.

There are a lot of things that contributed to Reid's success as a streamer, several of which are not public knowledge. However, something that is public knowledge is her personal gaming and streaming setup, which the folks at CNN took a closer look at. So, what does Twitch's most popular female streamer use, and how much would it cost you to have something similar?

Gaming & Streaming-Capable PC

Unfortunately, there's not much information about what kind of PC Reid uses for her Twitch streams. However, it is possible to infer what kind of hardware a popular Twitch streamer like her could be using. It could be safe that she's using a high-end system, which could cost between $2,000 and as much as $5,000 for the most expensive enthusiast-level builds.

The total seems to be sky-high, but believe it or not, this is actually on the cheap side, considering today's inflated prices for PC components like graphics cards. These aren't the actual specs for Reid's system, but it's the type of hardware that you could expect for a popular streamer like her.

Standing Desk

For somebody like OMGitsfirefoxx, it's critical to have a desk that allows them to both sit-down and stand up when they're streaming on Twitch. These people stream for hours at a time, and sitting for so long is obviously not healthy. Talking about her choice for a standing desk, Reid said, "It was nice to have an excuse to actually be on my feet, and you have so much more space to play with."

As a self-confessed long-time Razer fan, Reid uses this highly-rated gaming mouse alongside her Razer Blackwidow mechanical keyboard for her peripherals. The DeathAdder V2 constantly scores high in terms of its responsiveness and overall performance, which is why it's a part of OMGitsfirefoxx's arsenal.

Lastly, she uses an Audio-Technica AT2035 microphone for professional quality-level vocal streaming. In fact, she uses this mic for streaming and hosts a podcast titled "Good Game, Nice Try" which started in 2020.
