A new Walmart Xbox Series X restock is scheduled to launch this August 13 2021 and it is scheduled at 9PM ET / 6PM PT. The restock is supposed to be an hour long restock which would drop new stock every 10 minutes.
Xbox Series X Restock Tracker
When a prominent PS5 and Xbox Series X restock tracker Twitter account announced the drop, a number of buyers were skeptical about the actual "hour long" restock. Since most of the restocks in the past were gone in just a couple of seconds, it's hard to believe that there really could be an hour-long restock.
This was then quickly corrected by another buyer in the comment section. According to the buyer, this actually just meant that the event will be an hour long and that Walmart is going to drop new restock every 10 minutes. This could give individual buyers an advantage of purchasing the PS5 and Xbox Series X restock even if they missed the first drop.
Walmart Xbox Series X Restock
A common complaint that has been plaguing other restocks is that the stock vanishes in just a matter of seconds. This time, gamers will have multiple tries to be first in line when buying the Xbox Series X online stock from Walmart.
The thing is, Walmart still remains a pretty competitive online restock outlet making it very difficult for gamers to get their own console. However, with the help of the hour-long "every 10 minutes" drop. Gamers might just get lucky and be able to purchase the restock despite missing the first or second.
Global Chip Shortage
With the global chip shortage widely spreading throughout different popular consoles like the PS5 restock and the Xbox Series X restock, gamers are struggling to get their hands on the new consoles. The situation is getting worse with scalpers in the way buying up countless amounts of consoles through the use of bots.
While the console situation is struggling, the PC building situation is also experiencing similar struggles. Previously, both CPUs and GPUs were both extremely difficult to buy. As of the moment, however, the CPU situation has improved as the Ryzen 9 5900X has been spotted at its exact SRP.
GPU Scalper Prices
When it comes to the GPUs, however, the closest stock spotted online was the EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 which was selling for $70 past its SRP! This is already a huge improvement from the previous $1,000 markups on other GPUs.
With EVGA being the brand selling at the least marked up prices, fans might want to look forward to drops of EVGA GPUs. Another alternative is to actually purchase a gaming laptop that already has a GPU in order to save money. For the first time ever, building a gaming PC could actually be more expensive than buying a laptop!
