Telsa Model S and Model X Long Range price increases again by a whopping $5,000 after receiving heftier adjustments beforehand.
It is worth noting that Tesla has been implementing frequent price increases to its electric vehicles in the past few months, and it seems to be continuing until now with the latest jacking up of prices.
However, the previous increase is most seen in other vehicles, such as the Model 3 and the Model Y, which already adjusted their prices seven times in 2021 alone.
Nevertheless, Tesla has also lowered the prices of some of its EV lineup, but they have since reverted.
On July 23, The Street further noted that Model S and Model X prices did not move. But, it turned out that the two Tesla vehicles will also have cost adjustments merely a few weeks later than the Model 3 and Model Y.
It is also important to point out that the Tesla Model S and Model X did not experience the same price adjustment frequency as the Model 3 and Model Y due to their delayed updated version release.
Notably, the Model S only received two price increases in 2021.
Tesla Model S Range Price Increase
As per Electrek, the EV behemoth only started delivering the new version of the Model S in June, wherein it sported an impressive performance with its Plaid variant.
The latest $5,000 increase is on top of the price adjustments since last month. To be precise, on June 10, the Model S Plaid received a hefty $10,000 increase, and after a few weeks, the Model S and the Model S Long Range prices shot up by another $5,000.
Now, the Tesla online configurator confirmed that the Model S is getting another price increase, making the starting price of the Long Range variant $89,990, which previously sat at $84,990.
Tesla Model X Long Range Price Increase
Teslarati reported that the Tesla Model X Long Range is also getting its share of price adjustment, which shoots up to $99,900 from the previous $94,990.
Meanwhile, the Model X Plaid prices remained untouched.
The Model S Plaid, the high-performing Sedan with 2.5-second 0-60 mph time, along with 340 miles range per charge, is now more expensive than its SUV counterpart.
Well, that is at least for now, as the prices of the Tesla EVs have been constantly fluctuating.

Tesla Price Increase Reason
On June 1, Elon Musk revealed why the prices of the vehicles of his company are shooting up into whopping numbers every now and then. The Tesla exec attributed the adjustments to its supply chain as well as the raw materials.
However, the Chief Financial Officer of the EV giant, Zachary Kirkhorn, bared a different reason for the price volatility, citing the demand for the vehicles.
