Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.100 Now Available: How to Get this Beta

Windows 11 beta is now open for everyone who wants to try the latest Microsoft OS.

Last month, the company revealed that the developer preview build for the newest operating system was already available. So far, that's for the developers, but the current Insider Preview build will show us some of the features that the upcoming Windows OS has.

Since this is just only a trial version, the system could pose many bugs, so expect that possible fixes will come in the next few updates before its launch in October.

In a previous post by Microsoft last July 22, the company announced that the users can now access the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build in the Dev channel.

At the time, the Dev version remained unstable for the users.

The tech giant advised them to switch to the Beta Channel if they want to experience a smoother preview for the Windows 11 OS.

Windows 11 System Requirements

Last month, the company released the minimum system requirements to run the newest Windows 11. Make sure that the device that you will use will be compatible with it.

Since this is a new operating system, certain devices cannot run it but can access the older Windows version.

Here are the system requirements for Windows 11:

  • At least 4GB RAM

  • 64 GB for the hard drive

  • 1366 x 768 (minimum resolution)

  • Capable of

  • At least 64-bit dual-core

  • 1 GHz

  • TPM version 2.0

  • Secure Boot and UEFI capable

  • 720 p HD

  • At least 9-inch monitor (8 bits per color channel)

  • Internet connection

  • DirectX 12/ WDDM 2.x

  • Microsoft Account

How to Download and Install Windows 11 Insider Preview Build

Now that you know the system requirements for the new OS, it's time to install it on your device.

Here's how you can get the beta version of the Windows 11 insider build, as per NDTV.

  1. Join the Windows Insider Program by accessing Settings. Look for the Insider Program and tap "Get Started."

  2. Register your account in the program.

  3. After the "Register" prompt appears, wait for the "Sign Up" prompt and tap it.

  4. Read and agree with the "agreement" terms and conditions.

  5. Close the next prompt.

  6. Continue the process by linking your account.

  7. Choose the Beta Channel as per Microsoft's recommendation. Tap "Confirm."

  8. Restart your PC.

  9. Go to the Settings and access "Check for updates."

  10. You can now download and install the Insider Preview Build.

  11. Click the "Restart Now" option.

  12. Launch the Windows 11 beta.

Surprising Devices That Can Run Windows 11 Preview Build

Usually, the users have a tablet, PC, and other devices that can run Microsoft's operating system.

In the latter part of June, we discovered that the Lumia 950 XL and Raspberry Pi 4 can run the latest OS.

According to the testers, the most updated build was better than Windows 10.

Surprisingly, another user tested if he could enable the Windows 11 preview build in the OnePlus6T. It turned out that the smartphone was capable of allowing it to run, but there were some downsides.

As per the developers who experimented with it in the OnePlus device, some features, such as WiFi, speaker, and Bluetooth appeared to be buggy.
