The ZTE Axon has been heralded for its complete fullscreen experience, sans the punch hole or notch provision for cameras and sensors.

The Chinese phone maker first introduced the seamless display feature on December 21, 2020, in the flesh of the ZTE Axon 20.

Previous rumors have been saying that the ZTE Axon 30 is featuring an improved version of the under-display camera, which debuted last year.

Although contrary to earlier predictions, the Chinese flagship did not sport the Snapdragon 888.

ZTE Axon 30 5G Launch

The ZTE Axon 30 5G is now beyond rumors after launching in China with multiple colors, RAM, and storage options.

The flagship phone vowed to balance performance and power--albeit the highlighted seamless design of the device.

Yes, the flagship phone is now available for purchase in the Asian country, but how about other regions across the world? The Chinese phone maker hinted that the device is debuting globally soon without providing the actual date.

However, Gizmochina suggested that it will occur sometime in September.

ZTE Axon 30: Under-Display Camera

ZTE claimed to be introducing the "next-generation under-display camera" for its latest flagship, as per NDTV.

As such, the Axon 30 maximized its 6.920 inches full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1,080x2,400 pixels due to the absence of any visible camera lens on its screen. Plus, its aspect ratio is at cinema-grade of 20.5:9.

Aside from that, the seamless display also flaunts a 120Hz refresh rate, paired with an impressive touch sampling rate of 360Hz.

The Axon 30 shooters consist of quad rear cameras.

It includes the main 64-megapixel sensor, the ultrawide 8-megapixel snapper, a 5-megapixel macro, and lastly, a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Not to mention that the hidden selfie camera flaunts a 16-megapixel sensor and an f/2.0 lens.

The Chinese phone maker further boasted that the smartphone uses an intelligent pixel enhance and intelligent display optimization for color reproduction, which has been the major complaint about its predecessor.

ZTE Axon 30 Under the Hood: Snapdragon 870 and More

As mentioned, the Axon 30 is powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC, alongside 125GB RAM and 256 GB for the top-of-the-line option.

It is important to note that the ZTE flagship enables the ability to use extra storage space as the RAM, at least up to 5GB, through the memory fusion tech.

As for the Axon 30 5G battery, its 4,200mAh capacity fast charges at 55W.

The latest flagship also flaunts a "triple ice cooling system," which includes a graphene copper-based composite material, high-power thermal gel, and a large VC liquid cooling plate. The triumvirate seeks to optimize the performance of the device in intensive tasks.

Of course, as its name suggests, the Axon 30 supports 5G, alongside Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB Type-C port.
