OnePlus is coming up with an Apple AirPods Pro alternative, and sources say it sports just a tiny difference from the latter. OnePlus has been making their own wireless earbuds for a few years now, but it sort of feels like the company could be finally ready to compete directly against big brands.

OnePlus Buds Pro vs Apple AirPods Pro

According to Gizmodo, OnePlus could compete with bigger brands with the announcement of the company's new OnePlus Buds Pro. The new wireless earbuds sport a design that looks quite similar to Apple, but quite different when it comes to the silver stems, which would be white for Apple.

The Gizmondo article notes that there is obviously a comparison when it comes to OnePlus Buds Pro and the popular Apple AirPods Pro. However, by offering new support for built-in active noise cancellation starting at a price of just $150, OnePlus does seem like they offer a better value for buyers who don't want to spend an extra $100. As of the moment, fake AirPods Pros have also started to become a problem.

OnePlus Noice Cancellation Dynamics

OnePlus notes that the Buds Pro will feature three different mics in every earbud, capable of filtering out up to 40 decibels of noise. This feature is quite different from other headphones. The wireless earbuds can reportedly adjust the level of noise cancellation dynamically instead of ultimately being restricted to just a handful of preset ANC levels.

The wireless earbuds' audio is reportedly powered by two different 11mm drivers as well as the OnePlus' Audio ID, which promises a more calibrated sound profile. The OnePlus Buds Pro is said to support Dolby Atmos audio. There has been a debate about whether OnePlus Buds Pro can beat the Apple AirPods Pro.

Battery Capacity of OnePlus Buds Pro

OnePlus also notes that the Buds Pro should be able to last up to five hours on just a single charge even with the ANC turned on. It can reportedly last up to seven hours with the ANC turned off. The OnePlus Buds Pro will also include a wireless charging case, which can add up to over 30 hours of extra power.

For those in a pinch and need to charge on the go, OnePlus notes that the Buds Pro charging case is capable of up to 10 hours worth of battery in just about 10 minutes whenever it is connected to one of the OnePlus' Warp Charge power bricks. For gamers, it was noted that the OnePlus Buds Pro's latency can go just as low as 94 ms with the option Pro Gaming mode enabled.

The OnePlus Buds Pro release for the United States and Canada is expected to happen on September 1, 2021, as confirmed in an article by The Verge. The OnePlus Buds Pro price is expected to start at $150. As of the moment, it's hard to say if the challenging OnePlus Buds Pro can actually defeat the Apple AirPods Pro. However, there could be a market that would prefer the OnePlus Buds Pro instead of the Apple AirPods Pro.
