Experts are currently suggesting that people take the COVID-19 vaccine because it is much needed than before. They added that event the coronavirus survivors, who probably developed their own immune systems, should also get the medical jab.
Researchers added that the main reason vaccines are more important than ever is the new variants, especially the rapid-spreading COVID-19 Delta and the new strain Lambda. Medical scientists explained that an individual can develop their own immune system in two different ways. These are specifically surviving the COVID-19 infection or getting vaccinated. As of the moment, many critics claim that natural immunity is more efficient compared to vaccine immunity.
However, they added that some people might have an immune system in a natural way. However, its protection will not last that long, saying that vaccines are still a more consistent method of acquiring immunity.
Experts Say COVID-19 Survivors Should Still Get Vaccinated
According to IOWA Capital Dispath's latest report, two new studies released in early July claimed that COVID-19 vaccines can still somehow neutralize new COVID-19 strains.
Recently, various medical experts claimed that the efficient vaccines against COVID-19 Delta are Pfizer and AstraZeneca. However, the developers of these vaccines are still enhancing their products.
On the other hand, researchers suggested that vaccination still offers a safer and more reliable way of having immunity against the rising COVID-19 Delta, Lambda, and different new variants.
This is also why they claim that coronavirus survivors should also get vaccinated since some don't have a long-lasting immune system.
The US Now Reimplementing Wearing Face Masks
ABC News reported that the U.S. government could start reimplementing the wearing of face masks as the new COVID-19 Delta variant infection cases are still rising. The U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy said that authorities have the right to do this.
"Unfortunately we're seeing rises, particularly among the unvaccinated in many parts of the country now," he said on Sunday, July 19.
As of the moment, around 97% of COVID-19 hospitalizations are the unvaccinated residents. On the other hand, 58% of the current reported cases in the United States are linked to the rising COVID-19 Delta strain.
"In areas where there are low numbers of vaccinated people, where cases are rising, it's very reasonable for counties to take more mitigation measures, like the mask rules coming out of LA," added the U.S. Surgeon General.
