One of these enhanced capabilities is its battery life. As of the moment, Apple fans already know that an M1 MacBook can last longer than other laptop brands. However, a new test surprised the tech giant manufacturer.
Apple even thought that the battery indicator is just broken or malfunctioning. But, this is not the real case.

"When we saw that first system, and then you sat there and played with it for a few hours and the battery didn't move, we thought 'Oh man, that's a bug, the battery indicator is broken,'" said Apple's Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing Bob Borchers.

"And then Tim [Milet]'s laughing in the background, 'Nope, that's the way it's supposed to be,' and it was pretty phenomenal," he added.

M1 MacBook's Battery Life Surprises Apple

According to BGR's latest report, the new test revealed that the advanced M1 MacBook Pro lasted for about 16 hours and 25 minutes. It is almost the same timeframe as Apple's 17-hour estimate.

As of the moment, Apple's M1 chipset currently powers three additional products of the tech giant creator. These are specifically two of the new 2021 iPad Pro models, as well as the redesigned iMac.

On the other hand, Apple confirmed that it will soon launch a new version of its popular in-house SoC. The new chipset is expected to power the new 2021 Macbook Pro versions. But, the exact release date is not yet confirmed.

M1 MacBook To Have A Webcam Upgrade?

Toms Guide reported that Apple is planning to release a new webcam upgrade for its M1 MacBook lineup. Some rumors claimed that the popular laptop brand could have a 1080p webcam feature.

This is currently a great innovation since the highest resolution that M1 MacBook models have is a 720p webcam. On the other hand, various leakers believe that Apple will integrate the webcam upgrade in its MacBook Pro 14-inch variant. The company's MacBook Pro 16-inch version could also have the webcam enhancement.

However, you still need to remember that this is still speculation. The best thing to do right now is to wait for Apple's actual announcements.
