OnePlus and Samsung are two competing brands known for their smartphone products. Nevertheless, the former figured made a mistake, promoting the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and its S Pen, which is the premium device of the South Korean giant.
One Plus was recently the talk of the town after the Chinese giant was caught manipulating the benchmark and some popular apps' performance on its One Plus 9 and One Plus 9 Pro.
OnePlus Promotes Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and S Pen
Now, the internet was caught by surprise again after the Indian Twitter account of One Plus was caught in another awkward situation.
The embarrassing moment occurred as one of the people managing the social media account of OnePlus India accidentally posted a video advertisement, which highlighted the features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
The caption of the media tweet was even more shocking for some users. It reads: "the enhanced #S Pen is my weapon of choice."
Imagine a Twitter account that goes by the name OnePlus India, uttering those words. It is worth mentioning that it even used a hashtag of the Samsung feature.
OnePlus Follow Up Tweet to Samsung
As per Financial Express, the mistaken promotional tweet was turned down swiftly by the people behind One Plus' account. However, people on the internet already memorialized it even before the tweet disappeared.
As such, the screenshot of the epic incident still exists on Twitterverse and elsewhere on the internet.
That said, Samsung and Oppo are not teaming up for a collaboration. It was a gaffle that someone from the social media team made that will live forever online.
Given that the gaffle is impossible to completely be forgotten, OnePlus India decided to take the incident lightly.
The Chinese phone maker wrote another tweet tagging Samsung's Twitter account, suggesting the South Korean company bring back the favor by promoting the smartphone of the former.
In the follow-up tweet, OnePlus also admitted that the promotional tweet is indeed a mistake on their part, dubbing it as "accidental."
Samsung Mobile has yet to issue its response to the incident.
SamMobile raised the idea that the social media agency behind the OnePlus brand in India perhaps also includes Samsung as their client. Thus, the confusion between two rivaling brands happened.
