Jeep Commits to Electric Mobility by 2025, Soon to Release '4xe' Models for its SUVs—EV Day 2021

Jeep is committing to electric mobility of its popular rugged, adventure vehicles by 2025. The world will soon receive models of electrified Jeeps in the coming years, and it would have the "4xe" model badges that would signify that it is an electric vehicle. This suggests that Jeep would still distribute its gas-powered engine vehicles on future releases.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Stellantis is the parent company of Jeep and Dodge, which both have been showcased in the company's "EV Day 2021," which announced its commitment to the electrification of its lineup.

In Stellantis' recent showcase of "EV Day 2021" for Jeep, the company revealed a lot about the future of the popular rugged and adventure vehicle, which has been iconic since early World War 2. These service vehicles are now known to be luxurious and class vehicles, which offer a popular drivetrain that can go on all terrains.

Jeep CEO Christian Meunier said that "Jeep is more than a brand-it is a community," and this pushed the company to adhere to what is the standard of the present times, which is electric mobility. Brands like Tesla have pushed electric vehicles to become popular among the public, and other companies also transition to electric vehicles.

The company will soon establish its EV lineup and will update its vehicles in the coming years leading up to 2025.

What is more iconic with this electrification for Jeep is that the company has not had any fully electric vehicles yet, especially for its adventure vehicles that focus mostly on the 4x4 experience. However, there were hybrids before, like the Jeep Wrangler.

According to Stellantis' press release, the electrified model of the Jeep vehicles would be named "4xe" which would have its individual or special badge for the venture. The latest one to go electric would be the 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, which is a plug-in hybrid.

However, Jeep's lineup does not stop there, especially as the company will add other vehicles as an electrified car including other iconic names like the Rubicon, Grand Cherokee, and others.

Jeep is looking forward to bringing electric cars in the future and is hoping to line up against popular ones like Rivian which also has a 4x4 pickup truck and SUV.

Will it Still Capture the Iconic Rugged and Adventure Design?

They say that nothing "purrs" sweetly than a gas-powered engine when making one's way to a mountaintop or making its climb to show its 4x4 power. However, the environment cannot take it anymore, hence the efforts of these companies to produce alternative and zero-emission vehicles to help combat Climate Change and Global Warming.

In terms of design, Jeep can still bring its iconic and rugged design for its adventure vehicles that would undergo electrification but would lose its engine noise, as batteries would power it.
