AMD Ryzen 9 5900X restock found online! The thing about this new stock, however, is it is no longer selling at an extremely marked up price. In fact, compared to the previous restock, the current AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Amazon restock is selling almost $10 cheaper compared to the last restock.
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Restock Sought After Online
Could this be a sign that the market is recovering? As of the moment, this is anyone's guess. One thing that is true, as of the moment, is that building a PC and sourcing the parts one by one can be either very difficult or very expensive. Due to the supply no longer capable of reaching demand, the prices of chips have skyrocketed.
The AMD Ryzen 9 5900X is just an example of a CPU that has been affected by the current market situation. Another popular type of chips that have been extremely in demand are GPUs. As of the moment, the battle is no longer AMD vs. NVIDIA when it comes to GPUs, the battle is buyers vs. the supply!
AMD vs. NVIDIA GPU Prices
Buying either an AMD or NVIDIA GPU at SRP is close to impossible nowadays with scalpers blocking off buyers, buying all available stock, and reselling them at much higher price. The reason why scalpers are capable of doing so is because some of them use bots.
CPUs and GPUs aren't the only electronics that are affected by the global chip shortage and scalpers. The PS5 restock and Xbox Series X restock are currently extremely hard to buy at SRP despite having launched last year. An article by Bloomberg details how scalpers use bots in order to buy stock and sell them at higher prices.
Amazon AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Restock
A technique that most buyers used to use when trying to buy consoles or PC parts at fair prices is by following restock trackers online. The problem with this, however, is that even restock tracker Twitter accounts have started to share PC parts or consoles priced higher than their SRP.
Although most of these trackers try to notify the closest price possible to the SRP, sometimes it can't be helped as there are little to no prices hitting close to home. A recent restock tracker shared a notification of a new AMD Ryzen 5900X restock on Amazon. Although it was sold at a markup, the price was relatively more affordable than the last batch.
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Price Comparison
The new AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Amazon restock was priced at $649 compared to the previous AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Amazon restock which was priced at $657. Although still a significant increase from the GPUs original price at $589.99 according to the official AMD website, the price has decreased by a significant $8.
As of the moment, it's still too early to say if the price of CPUs are really decreasing. For those that don't mind the smaller markup of the new AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, now might be the right time to buy.
