It might be hard to believe, but not everybody watches sports. And despite last night being the first-ever College Football Playoff National Championship game, there were plenty of people who just couldn't be bothered. Thankfully Jimmy Kimmel knows that there's one way to make sports interesting for everyone, and that's Mean Tweets.
It's a Jimmy Kimmel Live! tradition at this point, but it just doesn't make sense to do a Mean Tweets segment focused on random Hollywood celebrities during the College Football Playoff National Championship - so, before Monday night's game began, a segment directed at everyone's favorite ESPN college football anchors and a few big athletes debuted. It doesn't really matter if you know who Tim Tebow is, either - Mean Tweets is always funny.
Mustache mazes, poop in the mail, ninja turtles and muffler sucking: it just wouldn't be Mean Tweets without some illogical, incomprehensible, misspelled nonsense directed at some big-name celebrities. Of course, the ESPN crowd seemed to take it better than the usual celebrities - at least once they figured out exactly what they were looking at, that is.
At this point, does the winner of the game even matter? Fred Flintstone just got slammed while one of the puppets from Crank Yankers watched - that's exactly why television was invented in the first place, right?
Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35pm on ABC
