iPhone 13's latest rumor suggests that the upcoming Apple product will include a larger wireless charging coil than its predecessor, iPhone 12.

According to the rumor circulating online, the larger coil could offer reverse wireless charging and faster recharging times.

iPhone 13 Wireless Charging and New MagSafe Magnets

Apple's MagSafe wireless charging system allows up to 15W of power to be delivered to an iPhone. This is way above the power levels of non-MagSafe wireless charging systems.

However, rumor has it that Apple wants the iPhone 13 to have a better MagSafe Magnet, which means the power could be more than 15W.

According to Max Weinbach's report that was published by EverythingApplePro, Apple could use a larger wireless charging coil in the upcoming iPhone 13 phone.

A larger coil will give more space to the area that is used for wireless charging. It can provide numerous benefits, like making it easier for the iPhone to manage heat buildup and allowing for higher wattages to be used without frying the components.

A larger size of the charging coil may enable the iPhone to recharge other devices in a reverse wireless charging mode. This could allow an iPhone to recharge other Apple products like an AirPods wireless charging case.

In June, Bloomberg claimed that Apple wants to bring wireless charging to the iPad Pro, and it could also include bilateral wireless charging. AirPower, Apple's charging mat, was also reported to be in the works.

Apple is also reported to have been experimenting with high-output wireless power technology.

In 2017, Apple bought PowerbyProxi, a startup company that offers a system that allowed 100 watts of wireless power to be transmitted with a 65mm coil.

iPhone 13 Rumored Prices and Release Date

According to Tom's Guide, fans of the Apple product could expect the release of the highly-anticipated iPhone 13 in September--if Apple will follow its pattern for previous launches.

Dan Ives, a tech analyst, predicts that the iPhone 13 will launch around the third week of September.

Despite the COVID-19 related delays that affected the iPhone 12, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the iPhone 13 should return to its normal release schedule this year.

This is good news for those waiting for the release of the iPhone 13, as it could mean that Apple's upcoming product is not affected by the ongoing global chip shortage.

As for the price, experts are expecting the iPhone 13 to have the same price range as the iPhone 12, which is $699, $799, $999, and $1,099, respectively.

According to TrendForce, the iPhone 13 pricing should be on par with the current iPhone 13 models.

Unfortunately, the firm also stated that the iPhone 13 Pro models wouldn't have the 1TB storage option.

A lot of rumors suggest that the iPhone 13 will have the same four sizes as the iPhone 12. This means that the iPhone 13 mini could be a 5.4-inch, the iPhone 13 could be a 6.1-inch, the iPhone 13 Pro could be a 6.1-inch, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max could be a 6.7-inch device.
