"DOOM Eternal" is finally out and fans are getting a massive upgrade! The upgrade is going live on the Xbox Series X|S and the PlayStation 5 with better graphics in the brand new fidelity modes. Users will also be getting ray tracing from the PC version with a new update bringing content to all forms of content.

'Doom Eternal' PS5 and Xbox Series X Update

According to SlashGear, "DOOM Eternal" for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will be offering three different types of graphics mode. There will be ray tracing graphics mode running on 1800p/60 FPS for the two consoles and a more balanced 4K60. There will also be a new 120 FPS graphics mode set to run at 1800p on the Xbox Series X and another 1584p on the PlayStation 5. Both of these platforms will be rolling out Ultra-quality graphics settings as well.

The Xbox Series X will be getting just two graphics modes namely the 120 FPS at 1080p and a more balanced graphics mode set to run at 1440p60. Quite unfortunately, ray tracing mode won't run on the Xbox Series X.

The three platforms will be supporting HDR10 on all the graphics mode along with variable refresh rate as well as variable rate shading. On the Sony PlayStation 5, users will be getting new support for the DualSense controller's brand new adaptive triggers. On the PS5 and PS4, however, games will be getting support for the DualSense as well as the DualShock 4's new integrated speakers. The "DOOM Eternal" next-gen version is available for those that purchased the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

'Doom Eternal' Update PC Requirements

In a post by Bethesda, users will be getting ray tracing support for the PC. There will be three different ray tracing specifications starting with the 1080p60 on its low settings to 2160p60 on the device's Ultra-Nightmare settings. When it comes to the lower end, gamers will get ray tracing with the RTX 2060 (6GB) or even the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT with either an Intel Core i5 able to run at 3.3GHz or the Ryzen 3 able to run at 3.1GHz or higher.

In order to hit the Ultra-Nightmare 4K settings, users will have to have the RTX 3090 or the RTX 3080 Ti or the AMD Radeon RTX 6900XT along with the Intel Core i9-9900K or the Ryzen 7 3700X. Quite unfortunately, those cards are still quite hard to come by as of the moment.

4K Ultra-Nightmare Ray Tracing Specs

This would mean there aren't a lot of players capable of running the game at 4K Ultra-Nightmare ray tracing spec. There will be new content expected to ship out with the new graphics upgrades in the new "DOOM Eternal" Update 6. Switch users, sadly, will still have to wait longer in order to get the bonus content.
