Unlikely as it is, but Verizon is also one for the games, especially with its recently concluded showcase in the E3 event by the Entertainment Software Association. However, Verizon did not talk about any games or any possible ventures into the gaming industry, rather, how it would be a company that could aid gamers and adheres to the many places it helps with.

Verizon is among those of the cellular network industries that are looking more into prioritizing the development of 5G and soon to be phasing out 3G network capabilities within its connections. The telecommunications company is known to offer a lot for its users, including its recent promotion of free smartphones, by just continuing with them as a service provider.

E3 has had a lot of new content to arrive thanks to numerous gaming developers that have showcased the upcoming titles and developments to come in terms of their products. Some of the peculiar ones include the Xbox Series X mini-fridge from Microsoft and a whole lot of what Nintendo has to offer for its latest games.

Part of this was Verizon's recent showcase in E3 2021, talking about how the telecommunications company fit into the gaming industry and scene in the country. Initially, the company has talked about how its 5G could be of service to gamers, offering its best connections to everyone for a continuous and seamless internet connection when playing.

However, apart from their self-rated 5G, Verizon also talked about how it aims to focus on inclusion within the world of eSports, and it is doing so with the help of Riot Games. Verizon's VCT Game Changers Initiative with Riot Games is looking into a training and mentorship program to empower women in the field of eSports.

Verizon E3: Apple Arcade or Google Play Pass Services Premium

Additionally, Verizon offers a six-month freebie of top mobile gaming services available with Apple Arcade and Google Play Pass Services for every one-year sign-up for its unlimited services. Verizon's work with 5G to deliver "seamless" internet connectivity would uplift mobile gaming on a massive scale, and help users stay connected.

The telecommunications company is also looking into NFTs and Virtual Reality to include in its services, having initial steps in their venture to the gaming industry. The diversity of Verizon outside the cellular network services has gotten them to E3, and the showcase is only the start of what the company has to offer.
